Gryfilen is new brand name for polypropylene that will be produced by Grupa Azoty Polyolefins S.A.. The company unveiled its new branding during the largest plastics industry trade K fair 2022 in Düsseldorf. The name Gryfilen refers to the historical traditions of the region in which the company operates.
On 19/10/2022, during K Fair 2022 – Fair for Plastics and Rubber in Düsseldorf, Grupa Azoty Polyolefins S.A., which is implementing the Polyolefins Project, announced the brand name for its future products – Gryfilen, which was chosen by the company’s employees in a trademark contest. The contest was an excellent opportunity to involve employees in shaping the Company’s future.
The Polyolefins Project is one of the largest investments in the Polish and European chemical industry, which will enable the diversification of Grupa Azoty business activities, as well as positively influence Poland’s position in the plastics segment and strengthen the country’s energy and raw material independence.
The plant have been designed using state-of-the-art technology, enabling high production flexibility and the ability to produce a wide range of products. The polymers produced under the Gryfilen brand will finally include a portfolio of 30 products, including homopolymers, impact copolymers and random copolymers. They will be used among others in the packaging, household, automotive and pharmaceutical industries.
