Privacy Policy
- This Privacy Policy is addressed to individuals who:
(a) intend to give or have given consent to the Data Controller (as defined below) for the processing of personal data for marketing purposes, including direct marketing through electronic communications (including email) and telephone marketing (SMS – text messages);
(b) wish to register as users on the Website;
(c) submit their personal data on the Website in order to contact a company of Grupa Azoty Polyolefins S.A., to send an enquiry, a complaint, to receive the Newsletter, etc. (hereinafter “You”).
- In fulfilling the information obligation resulting from Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (Article 13) on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (the ‘GDPR’) we wish to inform you that the following Grupa Azoty Group companies listed in Appendix 1 are the Controllers of your personal data.
Your personal data will be processed:
(a) bsed on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR)
your personal data may be processed for the purpose of direct marketing carried out by means of the Newsletter or by means of telephone contact only on the basis of your express, voluntary and prior consent. The lawfulness of such processing is based on your consent. Any consent given may be withdrawn at any time. Please note that the withdrawal of consent is only effective for the future and does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before its withdrawal.
(b) for the purposes resulting from legitimate interests pursued by the Controller or a third party (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR)
Processing may be deemed necessary for the pursuit of our or a third party’s legitimate interests when it does not unduly affect your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms. When processing personal data on this basis, we always seek to find balance between our legitimate interests and your privacy. In the case of processing based on this legal basis, the Controller shall analyse the risk of violating your rights or freedoms and assess the technical and organisational measures applied to protect personal data. Legitimate interests in connection with the operation of our website may include:
(i) the assertion or defence against claims;
(ii) direct marketing in traditional form (e.g. letter marketing);
(iii) handling enquiries and complaints;
(iv) use of cookies and profiling for marketing purposes;
(v) taking care of the security of our IT systems;
(vi) carrying out analyses on how the website or individual parts of the website are used and how improvements or enhancements can be made to the website;
(vii) internal administrative purposes, including statistical objectives.(c) the processing is necessary for the purpose of complying with legal obligations incumbent on the Controller (Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR)
This applies, for example, if your data is made available at the request of competent state authorities or courts
The following categories of your personal data will be processed within the Website:
(a) identification data provided in the Newsletter sending form, including e-mail address, first name and surname;
(b) identification and contact data provided in the contact form, i.e., first name, surname, company name, email address and telephone number;
(c) personal data voluntarily provided by you when accessing the Website, such as Internet protocol addresses of visitors to our Website and collective data, i.e., information on how many visitors have logged onto our Website, which pages they have previously visited, etc. This data is collected automatically. For more information on our collection of collective data, please refer to our information on cookies available on the Website;
(d) other data provided by you in connection with the use of the website (IP address, user history).
- The Controller collects your personal data listed in paragraph 3 above directly from you.
4.1 In connection with the activities carried out by the Controller, your personal data may be entrusted and made available to the following entities:
(a) the website administrator;
(b)providers of IT systems and hosting services;
(c) entities providing document archiving services;
(d)courier companies and postal operators.4.2 If you withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes, your data will be deleted without undue delay.
4.3 We process your personal data for the purposes specified below for the specified time periods:

(a) request access to your personal data,
(b) request the rectification of data,
(c) request the deletion of data,
(d) request the restriction of data processing,
(e) request data portability,
(f) object to the processing of your data,
(g)withdraw consent to the processing at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on the consent before its withdrawal.
- The Controller has designated Grupa Azoty Polyolefins S.A. as the point of contact for the protection of your personal data. You may exercise the above rights by sending a relevant letter to the following address: ul. Kuźnicka 1, 72-010 Police, or via email to the data protection officer of Grupa Azoty Polyolefins S.A. at adogapoly@grupaazoty.com with the note “Personal data – Website”.
- You have the right to file a complaint with the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection (at the address of the Office for Personal Data Protection. ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw), if you believe that the processing of your personal data violates the GDPR regulations.
- Your provision of personal data collected by the Controller is voluntary, but failure to do so may lead to (depending on the purpose for which it is collected):
(a) the Controller’s inability to conduct direct marketing to you,
(b) the Controller’s inability to send the Newsletter to you,
(c) the inability to respond to your inquiry or complaint.
